Bridging the gap between highly specific fast frame-rate cameras and all-in-one systems useful for more typical shooting, the PS-CAM X35 from P+S Technik offers a standard working speed range of 24 fps to 60 fps through the direct HD-SDI output, while the slow- and fast-motion abilities of the camera also include continuously adjustable frame rates at any frame rate between 1 fps and 450 fps. The CMOS 35Digital Sensor is able to capture at 1920×1080 via full-sensor resolution at 21.1×11.9mm, with 1280×720 available at a crop of 14.1×7.9mm. The camera includes 11 T-stops in both normal speed and high speed. With more than eight available mount adapters, the Interchangeable Mount System (IMS) is compatible with ARRI PL, Canon EF/FD, Leica R/M, Nikon F, Panavision and BNCR lenses. Basic internal memory of 18 GB is included (with a planned 36 GB upgrade available), and the modular interface includes swappable nodes for upgrading the camera as technology advances. The X35 is S3D-compatible for both 2D and 3D applications, and high-definition bit rates are available in 10-bit, 4:2:2 uncompressed (10-bit, 4:4:4 and 12-bit uncompressed RAW capture are both planned as a future option). Other features include timecode and genlock, a hand unit for remote control of functions, an electronic viewfinder and support of standard Anton/Bauer V-Lock batteries. London 3D rental and sales house DECODE is launching two high-end 3D mirror rigs. The D-REX is the larger of the two, with a complete 3D rig for full-sized professional cameras like the ARRI ALEXA and RED EPIC. The D-RAPTOR is a smaller model offered for compact cameras such as the Sony EX3, Sony F3 and other similarly sized cameras. Both are fully adjustable in all axes of alignment, with a design that keeps the rigs solidly locked, but easily accessible for making small changes without affecting alignment. The structure built around the mirror box maintains balance when adding accessories, and the mirror itself is easy to remove for cleaning or transportation. Inward-facing cameras make buttons operator-accessible, and all tilt, roll and height adjustments are accessible from one position. Both include manual or automatic operation through easily implemented integration with cmotion or Preston for wireless control of the rigs. List Price: TBA. Contact: Decode, [email protected],

With full HD 3D capture on twin, 3.32-megapixel, back-illuminated CMOS sensors, the JVC GY-HMZ1U camcorder captures stereoscopic video through an integrated 3D twin lens with an F/1.2-2.28 variable aperture and 5x optical zoom (10x when shooting 2D). Film-like 24p or smoother 60i frame rates are both offered, with video recorded to dual SDHC/SDXC Flash cards. JVC’s new Falconbird LSI processing powers 34 Mb/s AVCHD recording in 3D and 24 Mb/s in 2D, and there’s a large, 3.5-inch, 920K autostereoscopic LCD touch panel for glasses-free operation. Other highlights include 3D digital still and 3D time-lapse capture, an A.I.S. Advanced Image Stabilizer, zebra exposure indication, XLR mic inputs, a shotgun mic holder, internal memory of 64 GB and built-in timecode. Estimated Street Price: Below $2,500.
