The RØDELink Digital Wireless System is a fully digital wireless audio system that utilizes next-generation 2.4 GHz, 128-bit encrypted digital transmission sent on two channels simultaneously, which enables a high-resolution, 24-bit/44.1k digital audio signal at a range of up to 100 meters. The system consists of a number of receiver and transmitter options, and will be available in kits for specific audio solutions across film, newsgathering, presentation and stage uses. The system also contains an OLED display on the receiver, one-button pairing, and three-level gain control, and is powered by AA batteries or via USB. The first of these to be released, The Filmmaker Kit, will consist of a belt pack transmitter, on-camera or belt pack receiver, and RØDE’s broadcast-quality lavalier microphone. ARRI has released professional-quality accessories from its PCA range for the new Sony PXW-FS7 camera. Available individually or in sets, the accessories are compatible with industry-standard tools, along with ARRI’s top reputation of reliability. The ARRI Adapter Plate for Sony PXW-FS7 is compatible with ARRI’s BP-8 and BP-9 bridge plates, as well as VCT-style tripod adapters such as the ARRI Quick Release Plate QRP-1. The ARRI Lens Adapter Support LAS-1 is a lens adapter support that fits a broad range of third-party lens adapters, including EF and PL mount, and optical adapters like the Metabones Speedbooster. The ARRI Top Plate for Sony PXW-FS7 is a low-mode plate with numerous 3⁄8"-16 and 1⁄4"-20 threaded accessory interfaces, as well as an optically centered built-in console. Blackmagic Design updated DaVinci Resolve 11 with 11.2, which includes improvements to CinemaDNG RAW image processing, as well as new color space transform enhancements when decoding RAW files for more realistic Rec. 709 and P3 color space images. New soft clip options are now available when converting high dynamic range CinemaDNG RAW images into Rec. 709 color space. DaVinci Resolve 11.2 also makes it easier to work with Avid NLEs because you now can move high-resolution media and sequences back and forth between the two systems. Other new features in DaVinci Resolve 11.2 include the ability to select RGB pixel order when working with DPX 2.0 files, new flag and marker support in ColorTrace, and support for the RED SDK 5.3.
