AJA has announced a line of USB 3.0-enabled KiStor Drives alongside the new KiStor Dock with Thunderbolt and USB 3.0 connectivity. Available in three capacities—250 GB, 500 GB and 750 GB—KiStor drives provide enough capacity for almost eight hours of 1080p Apple ProRes 422 HQ material or nearly 13 hours of Avid DNxHD 145 quality files. With both Thunderbolt and USB 3.0 output, the KiStor Dock accessory with internal SATA connection makes adding a KiStor drive to a computer or laptop almost as simple as plug-and-play. The T-Slate by ikan converts your iPad (all current versions) into use as a production slate. The device acts like a traditional clapboard, and when used with the optional MovieSlate app, it frames an iPad with a clapper stick border. The device works with most iPad cases (not recommended for magnetic Smart Covers), and it also will function as a traditional marker board when not used with an iPad. The lightweight Flashpoint Matte Box System II is an affordable way to prevent lens flare and glare. The sturdy construction includes ABS plastic filter frames and stages. It can accommodate both 4x4-inch and 4x4.5-inch filters, with one stage able to rotate 360º for use with a circular polarizer or gradient filter.
