Editor Daniel Hashimoto And YouTube Star Action Movie Kid Doctor Strange Followed Up With Star Wars Rogue One

Fun stuff from YouTube-star Action Movie Kid, son of editor Daniel Hashimoto, known for interjecting a variety of pop-culture, sci-fi and fantasy effects into their daily video-lives. His behind-the-scene breakdown on the Red Giant plugin toolset he used is fascinating, in this case, employing the $399 Trapcode Particular and other effects from Red Giant Universe. Amazing that you can do this kind of stuff on a home computer, find out how in the video!

I played with the $99-a-year Red Giant Universe 2.0 a bit recently myself. With more than sixty effects, it’s a very complex and quite capable system, but not exactly the easiest software to use. That’s because of how much that you can do with it, however. I’ve seen several effects popping up here and there on television that I’m pretty are from Red Giant’s plug-ins. Red Giant Universe has been used on Portlandia and Saturday Night Live, for example. We look at Red Giant’s Universe 2.0 software suite of NLE effects in the January issue of Digital Photo Pro, which can be subscribed to here.
