XEEN by Rokinon has introduced the new 20mm T1.9 Professional Cine lens, the latest member of the company’s professional video-cinema lens line. The full-frame 6K cinema lens joins the 14mm T3.1, 16mm T2.6, 24mm T1.5, 35mm T1.5, 50mm T1.5, 85mm T1.5 and 135mm T2.2, and fills the gap between the 16mm T2.6 and 24mm T1.5.
The prime wide-angle features a 114mm non-rotating front diameter for use with matte boxes, consistent focus/aperture ring placement and standard 0.8 cine pitch gearing for quick lens swaps when using follow-focus units. Like all lenses in the XEEN Professional Cine Lens system, the 20mm T1.9 includes a 24x36mm image format coverage without vignetting, all-metal construction, an 11 blade-diaphragm for out-of-focus highlights and smooth bokeh, plus the proprietary XEEN X-Coating Technology for high-quality imaging when shooting in low-light conditions.
Available in PL mount, as well as in Canon, Nikon, Sony E and MFT mounts, the 20mm T1.9 has a removable and changeable mount. Additionally, there are five accessory mount kits, giving cinematographers the ultimate flexibility when choosing camera systems.
The 20mm T1.9 Professional Cine lens is scheduled for a March 2017 release, with a street price of $2,495. All XEEN lenses include a three-year limited warranty.

The XEEN System Grows To 8
The New XEEN by Rokinon 20mm T1.9
(New York, New York) February 6, 2017 – Elite Brands Inc. announced today the addition of its new XEEN by Rokinon 20mm T1.9 Professional Cine Lens. XEEN by Rokinon is a specialized brand of professional video-cinema lenses launched by the Rokinon division of Elite Brands Inc. in 2015.
The introduction of this prime wide angle lens compliments the existing 14mm T3.1, 16mm T2.6, 24mm T1.5, 35mm T1.5, 50mm T1.5, 85mm T1.5 and 135mm T2.2 Xeen cinema lenses. With expected availability of March 2017, it provides a perfect transition between the recently introduced 16mm T2.6 and the widely popular 24mm T1.5.
The new Xeen 20mm T1.9 is available in PL mount as well as in Canon, Nikon, Sony E, and MFT mounts. Like all lenses of the XEEN 8 lens system, it features removable and changeable mounts. Five different accessory mount kits are available from Rokinon and enable cinematographers to be highly flexible in their choice of camera systems.
The new Xeen 20mm retains traditional professional cinema lens features such as a uniform 114mm non-rotating front diameter for easy use with matte boxes, consistent focus/aperture ring placement and standard 0.8 cine pitch gearing for fast lens swaps when using follow focus devices.
The new 20mm T1.9 maintains all the characteristics of the Xeen by Rokinon Professional Cine Lens system including 24x36mm image format coverage without vignetting, robust all-metal construction that typically weighs in less than the competition and an 11 blade diaphragm for pleasing out-of-focus highlights and smooth bokeh. Proprietary XEEN X-Coating Technology is employed to ensure maximum image quality with a cinematic look even under less-than-optimal lighting conditions. All of the above and outstanding optical performance and high resolving power combine to enable 6K production of video and cinema.
XEEN by Rokinon lens mechanics and optics are manufactured and precision assembled utilizing cutting edge technology and techniques. With a street price of $2495 including a three year limited warranty, the 20mm and all XEEN lenses remain the best professional cine lens value in the industry.
