Elements, A Division of 3ality Technica, Launches New Micron Standard Line

Elements first new Micron Standard Line is designed for the Sony NEX-FS700U

No longer recognized as Element Technica in the camera accessory market, Elements will release a new line of professional accessories that are designed for the indie digital camera market. The Micron Standard Line has been built for smaller compact digital cameras such as the Sony F3 and NEX-line, RED EPIC and Scarlet, Canon Cinema EOS, as well as DSLRs. This market could best be priced in the “under $20,000″ range.

The first kit from the Micron Standard Line is designed for the upcoming Sony NEX-FS700 – perhaps 2012′s most anticipated camera – and includes the Micron BridgePlate, the Micron Dovetail, and the Micron Sony FS700 Riser. More accessories will be released in the future to make the FS700U a complete professional system. All of the accessories are made of durable, high quality materials (aircraft grade aluminum tubing to maintain its light weight), and the design still maintains a high-end accessory system’s core strength.

According to SVP of 3ality Technica, Hector Ortega, the Micron Line will definitely give them a leg up into the crowded DSLR market. “We’ve taken everything that is great about the ARRI Bridgeplate system, miniaturized it for smaller cameras, including its lightweight benefits and integrated a shoulder pad system,” he says. “They will be able to quickly and easily take it from tripod to shoulder and back again without having to remove any accessories, including the lens.”

The kit is made of durable aircraft grade aluminum tubing to maintain its low weight.
